Arielβs Urban Sketching: Explore, Observe, Sketch
Join us for a 4-week immersive urban sketching class held on consecutive Saturdays. Each session includes a focused lesson, live demo, and a guided sketching walk to a nearby location. Weekly topics include:
Week 1: Composition & Sketching Techniques
Week 2: Gesture & Perspective
Week 3: Use of Color with Watercolor
Week 4: Exploring Alternative & Non-Traditional Tools
This hands-on course encourages creative observation and expression in urban spaces. Bring your sketchbook and sense of adventure!
ages 16+
Saturdays: September 13th, 20th, 27th & Oct 4th
10 am - 12pm
We have indoor rain locations
Please Bring the following supplies:
Pencil (Mechanical or regular w/sharpener)
Waterproof Ink Pen (example Staedtler Pigment Liner - goal is waterproof)
Eraser
Sketchbook (75lb weight or heavier paper or Multimedia ~6β x 8β in sizeβ your looking for
portable)
Travel Size Watercolor Paint set
Sealable Water Container ( old condiment jar)
Brushe(s) (Watercolor Round 10 advised. additional if you want Round 1 (detail), Mop 8 (washes) β based on your own preference)
Paper towel or old washcloth (to use with watercolor)
