Minhwa is the "art of the people"—vibrant, symbolic, and full of humor . Join us at the Columbus Arts Council to learn the techniques of traditional Korean painting, featuring bold colors and meaningful subjects like a playful depiction of a tiger and magpie that became especially popular during the later centuries of Korea’s Joseon Dynasty. You will also see these characters brought to life most recently in the hit “K-pop Demon Hunters”
First project : The Tiger and Magpie, also know as, Hojakdo (호작도)
NO Art experience needed!!!
Class will meet on Friday at 5 pm for 2 hrs.
Oct: 16th, 23rd, 30th, & Nov: 6th
Tuition is $150 for all 4 Sessions ( Save $30.00!)
You can pay per class, however that would be $45. per class.

Sumi ink
Arches Watercolor Paper Pad, 9 x 12, 140-pound (300 gsm), cold-pressed
Palette: metal or ceramic palette
Watercolor set of 20 (eg. Winsor & Newton Cotman Watercolors 20 color paint set, 5 ml Tubes)
Calligraphy Brush set
Water container – 32 oz old yogurt container
Small hand towel
Sponge pad
A Light Board (aka Tracing Light Box or Light pad). The ones listed are cheaper thus lower power, they can be used in a room with the lights off. You of course can always upgrade to a higher lumes light.
